One of the biggest tests is coming up and I plan on passing it. This test is the final test for the year, and if I pass it, I will be one step closer to getting my civil engineering degree. I’ve looked over the footing spreadsheet multiple times and used every study aid imaginable to prepare for the exam. This has been a stressful period for me, because there is a lot of information covered on the exam, meaning that I have a lot to go over. Once this is all done, I’m going to take a long nap for a week.
A couple of my friends from my engineer class have been stressing out over the exam as well and they’ve been doing everything to prepare. Some of them have made flash cards to help memorize terms. Others have been using video tutorials to get the grasp of basic concepts. Many people consider this to be the make or break exam of ever engineer’s career, even thought here is another exam coming in the following year that will be even harder. I don’t even want to think about what that exam will be like, but I have an idea that it won’t be pretty.
With all of the work that I’ve put into studying, I think I will be able to pass the exam. I just have to find a way to keep myself calm on the day of the exam. I’ve been doing some meditation techniques that have worked well at calming me down. One of my friends who is a tea fanatic suggested that I try drinking some herbal tea fortified with vitamins. I’m more of a coffee drinker, but I guess tea will do in a pinch. I’ll add a little lemon to it, because tea on its own tastes too bitter to me.
