Doing What I Love to Do

I have loved flowers ever since I was a young girl. I would plant flowers in our yard and make beautiful arrangements with them, and then I would give them to all the neighbors. I don’t think it surprised anyone when I became a florist. I worked for someone else for nearly two years, but I realized that I needed my own creative process to matter, so I opened my own flower shop. Before I did, I looked at everything i would need, including flyer printing and distribution in Singapore.

The reason that was so important to me is because I knew that I was going to have to make myself known to people. There were already two established flower shops in town, so I wanted to get my name out there as the new florist in town. I knew that I was bringing great flowers and fresh ideas, something the other two florists were not doing. Their arrangements were nice, but they were also boring. Mine were flamboyant, sophisticated, artsy and extraordinary. I took some pictures, and then I messed around for about three days until I had the perfect flyer created.

I wanted two pictures on it. One that showed just how creative a person can get with a floral design, and one that was fancy but understated at the same time. Then, I had the company print 4,000 of them. That same company then delivered them door to door across the area. That means that thousands of people were seeing my business for the first time, and I know that way works because I started getting calls that same day. Business is booming right now, and I could not be happier that I am making others happy simply by doing what I love to do, which is creating gorgeous floral arrangements.
